Robert P. Shyan-Norwalt

About the Author.
Over the years, Robert P. Shyan-Norwalt has been a itinerant Evangelist, Soldier, demolitions construction worker, Corrections Officer, Tractor Trailer Driver, and professional blacksmith/bladesmith.  This book, his first work of fiction, reflects his life-long experiences and learning. He has been a student of history, especially Old and New Testament, edged weapons, and military strategy, for over 30 years. A former long-term member of various Middle Ages historical reenactment societies, and a self-taught amateur scholar, he has extensive knowledge of different classical through post-Middle Ages European histories and cultures.  His extensive military experiences, numerous military occupational skills, stealth maneuvers, and engagements provide realism, accuracy, and passion to the battle scenes, logistical activities, and individual combat episodes in this heroic fantasy. His former work as a Evangelistic clergyman and seminary student provide the skills to blend words and new belief systems into a coherent and creative whole. His work as a professional artisan blacksmith, swordsmith, and artist allow him to vividly portray weapons and armor, to provide the artwork for this novel. He has operated his full time blacksmith/swordsmith business out of his home-based workshop since 1999, has several apprentices, and has done numerous educational demonstrations in different venues, including Earlham College.

These Hellish Happenings

In 1707, hapless vampire Jack Bentley made a pact with the Devil in order to escape a vampire hunt. Dealing with Satan seemed better than your standard angry mob at the time. But three centuries later, Satan is ready to collect His dues, whether the vampire likes it or not. He's taking Jack down to Hell, and He's even got a job picked out for him down below: an eternal position at the Registration Office of the Damned. Jack attempts to adjust to life on the Administrative Level of Hell where fire and brimstone have been replaced by board meetings and the occasional broken copier. But the whiny complaints of the recently-deceased are the least of his problems. Try adding to the equation a dead ex-lover, a dangerous attraction to his high-ranking demon companion, Alexander Ridner, and the sticky and distorted anti-vampire politics of a Hell that is surprisingly like our own world.

About the Author

Jennifer Rainey was raised by wolves who later sold her to gypsies. She then joined the circus at the age of ten. There, she was the flower girl in the famed Bearded Bride of Beverly Hills show until the act was discontinued (it was discovered that the bearded lady was actually a man). From there, she wandered around the country selling novelty trucker hats with vaguely amusing sayings printed on front. Somehow, she made enough money to go to The Ohio State University for a major in English. In real life, she is just as ridiculous as this biography.

A groundbreaking story that collects, commemorates, and illuminates traditional, sacred Pagan practices and beliefs in a fresh, contemporary, and whimsical style. Join Rupert the rabbit on his adventures as he sets out to discover how and why people leave their homes to celebrate seasonal holidays in the forest where he lives. As Rupert's journey unfolds throughout the seasons, he meets owls, fairies, and old friends who teach him about the Wheel of the Year. Beautifully illustrated, this book is an excellent starting point for young children being raised within the loose structure of the various Pagan traditions. You don't have to be Pagan to be enchanted by Rupert and the magick found in his tales.
